Annual motorsports ‘Blessings’ for the safety and joy of all riders
The warm weather means the thrilling sound of motorcycles on Massachusetts roadways and country sides. For members of St. Paul’s Church of Palmer it means holding an annual day of prayer and blessings for riders’ safety. St. Paul’s ‘Blessing of the Bikes’, Motorcycle and Motorsports event is held each spring on a Saturday morning. It includes a gift of an embroidered ‘Blessings of the Bikes’ motorcycle jacket patch for each rider. Local non-profit Cycle groups are represented and share their unique rider’s charities. The event is free and open to the public.
All riders and their families are welcome to attend. 2023'S second annual ‘Blessing of the Bikes’ 2022's was well attended and proved to an inspiring time of ministry and fellowship for the riders and groups in attendance.
“Prayer is powerful,” Rev. Steven Sousa, minister of St. Paul’s Church God said. “It’s an act of faith, but it is also an act love and support when we pray for one another. Each rider and their bikes will have prayers offered for them for safety, joy and companionship of the road and trail. We invite all motorcycle and motorsports enthusiasts out to our blessing. Come as you are, leave blessed.”
Coffee and refreshments were prepared by the people of St. Paul’s.
